View of Dunn's River Falls

Shore Excursions in Montego Bay

There are two must see locations in Jamaica while in Montego Bay. World-famous Dunnís River Falls is 1,000-foot (300-meter) tall. The falls are a living phenomenon because they are continuously rebuilt from calcium carbonate and sodium deposits in the river. It empties directly into the sea.

The other main attraction is the Green Grotto Caves. As you explore the caves, youíll see stalagmites and stalactites, as well as the bottomless lagoon. Hear stories of slaves who hid in the caves, and marvel at the limestone formations. As a route of escape for the Spaniards during the English invasion in the 1600s and as a place to hide rum barrels during WWII, the history of Green Grotto Caves is rich.
