Things to do in Philadelphia
Philadelphia is the fifth largest city in the United States. It is located on the Delaware River approximately 90 miles south of New York City.
Philadelphia is one of the most historical cities in the country, since it was the colonial capital of the colonies before independence. Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are two of the most visited places in the Country.
In addition to the independence area sights, Philadelphia has all the variety of museums you would expect in a large city. One of the most interesting is the Eastern State Penitentiary. It was the world's first true penitentiary and has recently been opened for tours. Portions have been renovated, such as Al Capone's cell, but most of the prison is in disrepair. It is a visit you will not forget.
